However, performing music from movies is not as simple, as the musical accompaniment for each film is like a patchwork quilt woven from a large number of short themes. Despite the presence of a main musical theme in a film, it is usually quite short and doesn't convey the full spectrum of emotions experienced by the audience. Often, after a movie is released, composers release an album - a Score, where the music is arranged into 15-30 short compositions, which is more convenient for the compact disc format and serves as a kind of processing. |
Medley We set out to create compositions that would allow audiences to relive the plots of movies in their imagination and experience the full spectrum of emotions from these iconic films. We chose the Medley genre, which enables the merging and interweaving of key musical themes, and performing them in the most epic and poignant manner possible. This is achieved with the collaboration of a large symphonic orchestra comprising 120 virtuoso musicians from St. Petersburg and Moscow, a digital organ, a choir, renowned opera soloists, and a grandiose light show! |

Cinema Medley is a breathtaking program of soundtracks performed by the large symphonic orchestra, Imperial Orchestra, along with the organ and virtuoso soloists! With 80 brilliant musicians on one stage, the music spans over 15 films, accompanied by vibrant light shows, promising an endless array of tingling sensations from beloved melodies!
The unique format of the show gives a 360° view of the orchestra, this format that has no analogues and is considered one of the most expensive and technically complex.
Even the largest arenas in the world with 360° seating around the orchestra provide the spectator with maximum immersion in the show, as well as give the opportunity to examine in detail the skills of virtuoso musicians and to be in close proximity to them.
In addition, the orchestra, located in the heart of the arena, creates an incredibly powerful sound that spreads throughout the hall in a single wave, as if penetrating the viewer and penetrating directly into the soul, and a spectacular light show and specially designed video sequence repeatedly enhances the emotional perception and director's idea! The arena turns into a real riot of colors and a triumph of sound!
The great symphony orchestra was founded in 2018 in ST. PETERSBURG.
Over the next few years, the Imperial Orchestra has become the largest and fastest growing musical project, received state awards and recognition in Russia and the CIS countries.
The orchestra consists more of than 400 professional musicians - instrumentalists, chorus Singers and vocalists, many of whom are winners of major international competitions, soloists of major international competitions, soloists of the main musical theaters and philharmonics of Russia.
The orchestra performs under the direction of the famous conductors - Lev Dunaev and Iosif Nurdaev
